essential service

We now have confirmation that with the recent implemented government restrictions on services, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are considered an essential service. According to World Health Organisation, traditional medicine practices are considered primary care and the Australian government also regards Chinese Medicine and acupuncture under the allied health umbrella of registered practitioners with AHPRA.

Due to being classified as a source of primary health care in Australia we therefore practice as an essential service and are currently keeping our doors open with normal trading hours. In addition to our usual hygiene practices, we will continue to enforce increased vigilant hygiene recommendations set out by the Australian Government Guidelines of Health and adhere to social distancing advice with modifications to the waiting room and patient flow. The safety of our patients, your families and our practitioners is our main priority so if you begin to feel unwell please stay at home and rest, we understand.

With the rapidly changing response to COVID-19, we will keep you updated on any ongoing changes happening within the clinic. If you have any questions please reach out to your practitioner or reception on 02 8488 8032. Take care and let’s take this day by day.
